The Corujão hydroelectric plant is located 370 kilometers from Palmas in Araguaina. It is connected to an earth type dam reservoir with a built-in forebay, plugged to the powerhouse through a penstock in concrete. The powerhouse hosts a 0.73 MW generating set, built in 1971.
