Trojes Hydropower plant

The plant was constructed within the existing irrigation outlet facilities immediately downstream from the Trojes dam, a rock filled dam with an impervious clay core center. The Trojes dam provides storage for irrigation needs downstream. Irrigation flow is communicated through dam outlet facilities located near the left abutment of the dam. The irrigation outlet facilities contain the hydroelectric power plant and consist of dual diversion tunnels, that were built to divert floods during construction of the dam.
