Manager, Compensation, Benefits and HR Planning

Location: Andover, MA

This position is responsible for managing activities associated with compensation, benefits administration and HRIS administration and reporting. Assists in the design, implementation and successful administration of compensation and benefits programs and incentive programs.

Responsibilities

  • Plans, develops and oversees administration of health and welfare and retirement benefits programs such as medical, dental and vision plans; supplement life& accident; STD and LTD  programs; and 401(k) plans
  • Reviews current benefit offerings to ensure programs are competitive based on market data and cost analysis, recommending changes and driving implementation
  • Prepares and manages all  required internal and external reporting including government mandated reporting and audits
  • Oversees and assists in the preparation and communication of informational material to employees about benefits programs, procedures, changes and government-mandated disclosures etc.  Creates and conducts employee education sessions and meetings as necessary.
  • Maintains relationship with external brokers, negotiates contracts with benefit plan providers, vendors, auditors and consultants for services and plan administration
  • Ensures all benefits plans and programs are compliant with applicable laws
  • Develop, analyze and implement compensation policies and practices that are competitive.
  • Work with HR Business Partners to prepare and maintain job descriptions and classification system defining job levels
  • Manage all regular, internally required headcount reporting and organizational structure management within HRIS
  • Overall responsibility for managing HRIS processes and maintenance
  • Act as liaison with corporate HR based in Rome, regarding a wide range of issues including technology related projects (SAP) and headcount/HR planning related activities

Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • A minimum of 6-8 years experience in developing, managing and administering benefits and compensation programs and working with HRIS maintenance and reporting (within a global business preferred)
  • Proven knowledge of employee health and welfare benefits administration. Working knowledge of federal and state regulations affecting the administration of benefit and retirement plans, COBRA, FMLA, HIPAA, IRS and FLSA regulations
  • Past experience implementing and/or working with SAP or other HR Management systems
  • Complex problem solving and analytical skills
  • CEBS/CBP certification preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
