Reservoir Engineer
Responsibilities
Monitor the daily plant operational data and well field evolution, assisting operators with maintaining plant efficiency
Conceptual, analytical and numerical modeling of geothermal fields based on both test and operational data
Perform reservoir modeling for assessment of potential projects to determine aspects such as reservoir volume, plant output potential, pressure/temperature trends and longevity
Planning and supervision of well testing and well logging activities (both for completed wells and while drilling)
Analysis of temperature and pressure transients (thermometry, pressure fall-off, build-up, drawdown, interference among wells)
Predict temperature/pressure trends and field longevity
Interact with resource team for: - Georesource assessment - Construction of geologic/reservoir models - Targeting new wells - Evaluation of new geothermal project feasibility
Design/Improve the field exploitation strategy
Requirements
Knowledge of Reservoir Engineering (geothermal over petroleum, but not required)
Minimum B.S. in Chemical or Mechanical Engineer, or equivalent technical training/experience in Reservoir Engineering
Experience or familiarity of Tough2 simulation software (or similar) desired.
