    Five new plants have entered into service over the past few days in December, bringing Enel Green Power’s additional capacity in 2011 to more than 880 MW;
    The five new plants are: an innovative solar PV facility combined with a geothermal plant in the USA, as well as two wind farms in Romania and two in Spain, for an overall capacity of more than 150 MW;
    Enel Green Power’s net installed capacity exceeds 7,000 MW at the end of 2011.

  • ENEL GREEN POWER: CANEY RIVER WIND FARM IN OPERATION IN THE USA

    With 200 MW of installed capacity, the wind farm can meet the needs of about 70,000 American households, avoiding the annual emission of over 580,000 tons of CO2 into the atmosphere;
    The plant brings EGP total installed capacity in North America to 986 MW.

  • ITALY’S LARGEST PHOTOVOLTAIC PANEL PLANT STARTS COMMERCIAL PRODUCTION

    The new industrial plant run by 3SUN – a joint venture equally owned by Enel Green Power, Sharp and STMicroelectronics – has begun commercial manufacturing operations. In its initial phase it will manufacture photovoltaic modules for a potential output of 160MW per year.
    The Catania plant will supply the most promising markets of Europe, the Middle East and Africa
