Flashboard Status:
The flashboards on the Pawtucket Dam on the Merrimack River (Lowell Hydroelectric Project headpond) has been restored to the authorized height of five feet. However, due to high flows from recent rainfall events and snowmelt, the flashboards have failed. Future headpond elevations are dependent upon prevailing weather and river flow conditions.

9/8/2010: The Upper and Lower Canal System was proposed to be drawn down from September 13th through September 16th for the purpose of conducting general maintenance, canal cleaning activities, and in order to allow other outside contractors, with Boott Hydropower's knowledge and approval, to conduct maintenance to adjacent features to the canal system. The duration of the canal draw is anticipated to be approximately three days, however schedule is subject to weather and water conditions. As always, entrance into any part of the canal system is prohibited and dangerous due to high-voltage cables and other operational aspects. Only parties that have direct approval from Boott Hydropower, Inc. have permission to enter the canal system
