The Wethersfield Wind Farm began commercial operations in October 2000 and was acquired by Enel North America Inc. in June 2001. The project consists of ten Vestas V-47 wind turbines rated at 660 kW each. The project sells energy to Ontario Power Integrated Markets, Inc. of Canada under a 15-year power purchase agreement.
With both the Wethersfield Wind Farm and the 30 MW Fenner Wind Farm in operation, ENA is currently the largest wind power owner in New York State.
