The Wethersfield Wind Farm began commercial operations in October 2000 and was acquired by Enel Green Power North America (EGP-NA) in June 2001. The project consists of 10 Vestas V-47 wind turbines rated at 660 kW each. The project sells energy to Ontario Power Integrated Markets, Inc. of Canada under a 15-year power purchase agreement.

With both the Wethersfield Wind Farm and the 30 MW Fenner Wind Farm in operation, EGP-NA is currently the largest wind power owner in New York.
