Building on a Rich History

The Burney basin, in Shasta County, California, best known for its scenic landscapes and acres of forests, has played an integral role in Northern California's economy since the 1930's. Supporting local jobs and families, Burney's timber industry has been the foundation upon which the community has grown and prospered.
Today, Enel Green Power North America is proposing to harness another of Burney's natural resources – renewable energy. Adding to the region's hydroelectric, biomass and solar facilities, the Timber Hills Project represents the next chapter in Burney's rich history, respecting the people and the land and helping to forge a more sustainable future.
