In conjunction with its development partner, Northern Alternative Energy of Minneapolis, Enel Green Power North America constructed and owns a majority interest in this 30.3-MW windpower development located in three parts of the state. The bulk of the project will be on the Buffalo Ridge in Lincoln County, southwestern Minnesota. Smaller wind turbine installations are in Elk River (Sherburne County) in central Minnesota, and in Clay County in northwestern Minnesota.

A total of 46 Vestas wind generating units were installed, 45 of which have a rated capacity of 660 kW each, with one unit rated at 1.6 MW. The first units were commissioned in December 2000 and the entire project was completed in the spring of 2001.

In addition to providing equity capital, we were instrumental in finalizing the financing arrangements and turnkey contract for the project.
