Enel Green Power listed as one of this years best stocks. The investment bank highlights the advancements made in the wind power industry and states: EGP has one of the best growth potential among industry leaders
According to Goldman Sachs, the worlds primary investment bank, Enel Green Power is one of the best picks for 2012. In an equity research survey it concluded that, in a market characterised by strong uncertainties at various levels, Enel Green Power shows the best combination of growth potential, technological and geographical diversification and lowest exposure to possible monetary contractions.
Enel Green Power ended this past year fully achieving its installed capacity targets , exceeding 7,000 MW.
The target was successfully achieved in December after five new plants entered into service, thus reaching an annual capacity of 880MW, , exceeding its engagement towards the market.
concession for the construction of a 99MW wind farm in Chile
The five facilities include a 24MW photovoltaic solar power plant combined with a geothermal power station in the US, two wind farms in Romania and two in Spain, for a total of over 150 MW. Enel Green Power also focused on wind power in the first part of 2012 , when it was granted a concession for the construction of a 99MW wind farm in Chile. After it will be online, the wind farm will generate 329 million kWh of clean energy per year, avoiding 217,000 tons of CO2 emissions and meeting the energy demand of almost 170,000 households in Chile.
