In 2013-2014, EGPE is working with the Environmental Education Centre run by the Municipal Government of Torres Vedras in Portugal, which is in the area surrounding the Serra da Capucha wind farm.
On Saturday 8 June, more than 300 people attended the events ending the informative campaign promoted by EGPE entitled 100% Renewable 100% Sustainable which was organised by the Enel Group to celebrate International Innovation and Environment Week.
Two visits by schools were organised on 11 and 13 June to wind farms located in Galicia for the purpose of celebrating Wind Day (15 June), through the collaborative venture set up by EGPE and the Voz Natura informative programme.
The study will allow the movements of the bears to be evaluated and the transfer of genes between the two Cantabrian bear subpopulations.
The renewal of this collaborative agreement reaffirms the commitment of both entities to sustainable development and environmental education.
In direct relation to the problem of access to water and its supply, EGPE organised a charity action consisting of a water-donation campaign in collaboration with the Red Cross, donated by EGPE employees.
During the months of April, May and June another 7 informative visits to different EGPE facilities have been planned.

Pontevedra, 22 March 2013.- Today, the mini hydroelectric power stations of Anllo and Arroibar, operated by Enel Green Power España in the municipalities of Cotobade and Campolameiro in Pontevedra, organised a training day to celebrate World Water Day. Ninety children from the secondary schools of Cotobade, “Frei Martín Sarmiento” and “Luis Seoane” (the latter two in Pontevedra) took part in the event. The students were able to see how the facilities operated and learn about the importance of making rational use of water.
As is the custom each year, EGPE has contributed to disseminating information about renewable energies among adults and children by opening up the doors of its renewable facilities to all learning centres that are interested. In 2012, approximately 600 visitors were able to explore the facilities of EGP in Iberia. A total of 8 plants in Spain and Portugal received visits from January to December.
