Enel Green Power España (EGPE), Spanish subsidiary of Enel Green Power, has started operations at the 13.5 MW Ampliación Sierra del Cortado wind farm, located in Almenar de Soria, Castile and Leon region. The new wind farm will generate an estimated 42 million kWh per year. The energy produced by the nine 1.5 MW turbines will avoid the annual emission of 31,000 tonnes of CO2 into the atmosphere.
