  • FIRST NATIONAL MUSEUM OF GEOTHERMAL ENERGY INAUGURATED IN TUSCANY

    The Environment and Energy Councilor of the Tuscany Region, Anna Rita Bramerini, and Enel Green Power CEO, Francesco Starace, cut the ribbon 100 years after the opening of the first geothermal plant
    A fully renovated, high-tech and multimedia structure. Ten halls that guide the visitor on a discovery of geothermal energy, from the Etruscan and Roman thermal baths to the industrial presence of Enel Green Power. Free admission, open all year round.

 
  • ENEL GREEN POWER AWARDED 102 MW HYDRO IN BRAZIL

    Through the 2013 “New Energy Auction”, Enel Green Power has been awarded contracts to supply the energy generated by three hydro plants. The plants will be constructed in the Brazilian State of Mato Grosso.
    The three projects’ completion requires an investment of approx. 248 million US dollars.
    For the first time, a photovoltaic system will also be installed to supply part of the power required by the three construction sites.
    The 102 MW from hydro add up to 401 MW from wind Enel Green Power has already been awarded in previous tenders launched in the past four years and to 93 MW of hydro the company has already installed in Brazil.

 
  • ENEL GREEN POWER AWARDED 88 MW IN BRAZIL WIND AUCTION

    Enel Green Power has been awarded three energy supply contracts with wind projects located in the Brazilian state of Bahia.
    These projects will add a further 88 MW to the 313 MW of wind projects Enel Green Power obtained in the 2010, 2011 and 2012 Brazilian public auctions – 283 MW of which are already under construction – and to the 93 MW of hydro power capacity the company is already operating in the country.
    These projects mark a further significant step forward in the Enel Group’s growth strategy in Latin America.
