The Bagagem hydroelectric plant is located 200 kilometers from Palmas in Chapada da Natividade.
The powerhouse includes a small concrete weir, an open surface canal and a short steel penstock which feeds the 0.33 MW generating set of the powerhouse. The plant was built and initiated operations in 1977.
