Laranja Doce is located 40 kilometers from the town Presidente Prudente, in the suburbs of Martinopolis. The plant is connected to an Ambursen dam reservoir with a built-in forebay. A 150 meter-long steel penstock feeds the powerhouse with a 0.72 MW generating set, which was built in 1929.
