The Torixoréo plant is located 510 kilometers from Cuiaba on the right bank of the Santo Domingo River, near Riberãozinho. The powerhouse includes a 200 meter-long open channel which connects the Ambursen dam reservoir to the forebay and two steel penstocks that were commissioned in 1983.
