  • ENEL GREEN POWER: WORK UNDERWAY ON TWO INNOVATIVE POWER PLANTS IN CHILE AND USA

In Chile, the innovative project which combines photovoltaic power, a mini-wind turbine generator and a co-generation system for electricity and hot water, coupled with a storage system, will be capable of meeting most of the annual energy needs of the village of Ollagüe.
In Nevada, USA, a solar thermodynamic plant, which will be integrated with an already operating geothermal power station, already paired with a photovoltaic facility, will be capable of adding around 3 million kWh/year to the output of the current hybrid plant, the first of its kind worldwide.

  • ENEL GREEN POWER STARTS CONSTRUCTION OF NEW HYDRO PLANT IN BRAZIL

With an installed capacity of 102 MW, the hydro complex Apiacás will be capable of generating up to around 490 GWh/year.
A 1.2 MW stand-alone photovoltaic facility will also be constructed to reduce power consumption at the construction site.
An expected overall investment of around 287 million US dollars will be required to construct the complex.
