120 BD professionals coming from 20 countries and 5 continents. These are the participants of the EGP School of Business Development, sponsored by Enel Green Power together with SDA Bocconi School of Management, which began Monday, 8 May at the university’s campus in Milan.

“Thanks to the new collaboration with SDA Bocconi School of Management, we can join together EGP’s know-how and the most recent and innovative knowledge from the academic world, so we can perfect our international pool of professionals in the development of renewables.”

– Antonio Cammisecra, CEO, Enel Green Power

The training course, designed for the Business Development (BD) area of Enel Green Power, represents a new step along a path undertaken in 2016.

In February of last year, we started the first edition of the EGP School of Business Development in order to respond to the specific training needs of the BD professional community through the construction of a unique educational program, powered by the developers’ direct experience in the field.

"Our developers are often young explorers that work in complex contexts, facing different realities and sometimes far from the countries with an EGP presence” explains Antonio Cammisecra, CEO of EGP. “The School of Business Development is the crossroads of these realities, giving colleagues from five different continents the possibility to share experiences and discuss difficulties and approaches to daily work together”.

“The 24 courses that make up the EGP Business School are spread out over two years, following the model of a university Master’s degree, have lessons taught by both instructors from Bocconi and managers from Enel Green Power.”

The courses were co-designed by EGP’s BD division and SDA Bocconi. At the end of the training course, the 120 participants will receive a diploma signed by the dean of SDA Bocconi and the CEO of Enel Green Power.

The “school subjects” that Enel Green Power BD developers will explore during the two years of the EGP School of Business Development will include all the themes related to business development support, such as Tender management, Engineering Fundamentals and Partnering Strategies & Options, as well as Exit strategies & Effective Disengagement.
