“The Ponte San Martino hydroelectric plant was built in 1917 and is a rare example of an operational plant within a historical city centre.”

The doors opened at 4:00pm with guided tours of the plant for visitors young and old, who learned about renewable energy from the Enel Green Power staff. Then it was time for great music, thanks to many itinerant concerts in the most characteristic locales and squares in Treviso. The programme for “Suoni di Marca 2017”, the longest-running music festival in Treviso, was announced. The festival is planned for 20 July to 6 August with the splendid backdrop of Bastione San Marco, in the stretch of walls between Porta Santi Quaranta and varco Caccianiga.

“Suoni di Marca 2017, now in its 27th edition, will feature concerts by both Italian and international artists, such as Francesco Gabbani, Raphael Gualazzi, Alex Britti, The Zen Circus and many others.”

At 7:00pm, the much anticipated Habaka & Shakeblues concert was held on the terrace of the Sile river. The music of the historic band, led by the bassist Francesco “Shakeblues” Mazilli, captured the attention of the many audience members, who watched the performance until 8:30pm, just before enjoying the Treviso sunset and wrapping up a wonderful day.
