Carlo Zorzoli was born in Italy and has a master degree in electrical engineering from the University of Rome and an MBA from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business, North Carolina.

He has over 20 years of experience in the power sector and joined the group in 1996, in the distribution area. He held leadership positions in business development in transmission systems, thermal generation and, starting in 2004 in renewable generation. He worked mainly in the Americas (USA, Costa Rica, Mexico and Brazil), as Country Manager. He also led Enel’s entry into Mexico in late 2007.

After Mexico he led Enel Green Power Business Development in the Iberian Peninsula and Latin America from 2009 to 2013, when he took the responsibility for the operation and maintenance of Enel Green Power’s Italian portfolio. In 2015 he led Latin American EGP operations as Area Manager.

In 2016 he became Country Manager of Brazil for Enel; after 30 months of turnaround of Enel’s Brazilian operations he became Head of Business Development at Enel Green Power, now leading a team of more than 200 people, active in 20 countries in 5 continents with the mission to ensure the growth of the renewable business of Enel worldwide.
