Antonio Cammisecra

CEO of Enel Green Power

Antonio Cammisecra is the Head of the Global Power Generation business line and the Head of Africa, Asia and Oceania region at Enel Group and serves as CEO of Enel Green Power and is the President of Res4Africa Foundation.

Through the various roles that he covers at Enel Group, he brings forward the vision of a new era of sustainable energy, contributing to decarbonisation both with a plan of phase out of coal plants and boosting the global growth of renewables. In 2019, Enel Green Power, under his leadership, built more than 3 GW of new renewable capacity, establishing a new record throughout the world and confirming its leadership in the global sector of renewables.

He developed his international career path mainly at Enel where he covered a number of roles after joining the Group in 1999. Served as Business Development Manager in Latin America, working in several countries of Central America and South America, particularly in Brazil and Chile.

In 2009, he was appointed as Head of Business Development Italy for Enel Green Power and in 2012 became Head of Operations and Maintenance Italy for the Hydro, Wind & Solar technologies.

In 2013, he became Head of Global Business Development, leading a team of more than 200 people, working in over 20 countries across 5 continents.

From May 2017 to June 2019, he also served as Head of North and Central America regions at Enel.

Born in Italy in the city of Naples in 1970, Antonio Cammisecra holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering obtained from the University of Naples “Federico II" in 1996. In 2004, he was granted an Executive MBA from Bocconi University.

He likes skiing, rowing and cycling but his dream is to cross the ocean sailing solo. In his past life he was an explorer and in the next one will be a theater actor.
