Georgios Pergamalis

Head of Stewardship Portfolio Management

Georgios Pergamalis is the Head of  Stewardship Portfolio Management at Enel Green Power (EGP). The unit is responsible for the company’s non-consolidated equity partnerships around the globe.

Georgios joined the Enel Group in October 2007 and has held various market-facing positions in business development in different regions. He has a varied professional background that includes law, investment banking, renewable development and general management.

He started his career in London at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer as a structured finance associate and then moved to Barclays Capital’s structured products desk. After that, he joined Norton Rose Fulbright’s corporate finance practice. When he was hired by Enel in 2007, he became head of thermal, and later, renewable business development in Greece. He then moved to Rome, in order to contribute to the globalization of the Group’s solar PV business, and subsequently to Johannesburg, where he was given the task of developing Enel’s presence in Africa and the Middle East. In 2016 he went to Boston, MA and became Head of Business Development for North & Central America.

Georgios studied law in Greece and holds two postgraduate degrees in consumer law and international banking and finance law, with further specialization at the Bocconi and IESE in general management.

He speaks English, French, Italian and Greek.
