Javier Vaquerizo is the Head of Enel Green Power’s Commercial Office.
He joined the Enel Group in late 2004 through Enel Union Fenosa Renovables. He has held several positions at Enel Green Power, mostly dedicated to operations, control and energy management for EGP’s renewables portfolio in Spain and Portugal. In 2015, he became the head of the Commercial Office for Latin America. In this role, he focused on energy management for EGP’s renewables portfolio in Latin America, the coordination of commercial opportunities and the execution of energy sales/purchases, in addition to ensuring risk management and coverage of portfolio exposure on energy commodities.
In 2016, he moved to Rome, taking over the Global Commercial Office. In this position, he is in charge of the scouting, origination, structuring and pricing of long-term PPAs for new renewable capacity around the world with industrial, commercial and non-traditional offtakers, and providing support to define pricing strategies for energy auctions.
Javier received a degree in Industrial Engineering with a specialization in energy systems from the “Universidad Politecnica de Madrid” in 1999 and started his career working in roles of increasing responsibility in areas of engineering mainly related to renewable energy.
