Marco Salemme is the Head of Administration, Finance and Control for Enel Green Power and Thermal Generation, Enel’s business line for energy generation from conventional and renewable sources.
He joined Enel in 1998, just before the Italian electrical market began to be liberalized and the company was listed. He has covered several roles, both in the divisions and in Holding companies, including Head of the Strategic Planning Group for 4 years, Head of Administration and Control for Enel Distribution and, later, Head of Planning and Control for the International Division. From 2016 to 2017, he was named Head of Administration, Finance and Control for the region of Europe and North Africa.
In May 2017, he became the Head of Administration, Finance and Control for Enel Green Power. Since October 2019, he covered the same role for the Global Power Generation Business Line of the Enel Group.
His career started at Procter & Gamble, a global leader in consumer goods, where he spent more than ten years working in positions of increasing responsibility within Administration, Finance and Control, in Italy, Germany and the United Kingdom.
Marco Salemme graduated in Business Economics in 1987 from "La Sapienza" University of Rome. In 2010, he participated in the Advanced Management Programme at INSEAD in Fontainebleau.
He speaks Italian and English. He is married and has a daughter, loves dogs and is passionate about opera and writing.
