Impact on local communities

The wind farm was built using only existing roads and access routes, preserving the surrounding landscape. Local farmland, dedicated to traditional Sicilian crops, continues to be cultivated without interruption.

In April 2025, the site hosted the educational initiative "Inventors for a Day!", organized by Enel with the support of Helpcode. Fifth-grade students from the Vazzano, Santa Maria, and Don Bosco schools took part in activities designed to raise awareness of different sources of renewable energy. Working in teams, the students explored innovative and sustainable solutions, helping to strengthen their collaboration and creativity skills.
