About the project

The Malvezzi solar project

Enel Green Power is developing the Malvezzi solar farm in the Municipality of Poggio Renatico (Ferrara), Emilia Romagna.

The large-scale ground-mounted solar PV farm will be built on a production site of around 22 hectares. The farm will consist of four adjacent sections and will use monoaxial trackers with bifacial modules that absorb solar energy on both sides, thereby maximizing renewable energy production.

The first project in an initiative that allows citizens to make an active contribution to the development of renewables

The project also offers the local community an opportunity. The Malvezzi solar farm will be the first in Italy to be part of the Renewable Choice project, which aims to encourage communities to participate actively and in a concrete way to the development of clean energy, which in turn will drive the process of decarbonization. In this particular case, citizens will be able to partecipate in the project through a crowdfunding lending campaign. This means they can contribute alongside Enel Green Power to the environmental benefits resulting from the development of new renewable energy plants.
