Let’s build a better future together

We’re building the Trino solar park in the municipality of Trino in the province of Vercelli, Piedmont. It will be one of the largest ground-mounted solar plants in northern Italy, and will be built on a production site of around 130 hectares adjacent to the former Galileo Ferraris electric power plant.
The plant will be built with the best technologies currently available on the market: photovoltaic panels which can absorb energy on both sides (bifacial modules) will be mounted on structures able to follow the movement of the sun during the day (mono-axial trackers), so as to maximize the amount of renewable energy produced.
The approximately 86 MW plant will be coupled with a 25 MW electrochemical storage system capable of ensuring a sufficient supply of electricity to meet demand and providing ancillary services to the grid.
Ground-mounted solar PV + batteries
85.9 MW + 25 MW of electrochemical storage
Approximately 56,000 metric tons of CO2 per year
Approximately 29 million cubic meters of gas per year
Approximately 48,000 Italian families per year*
*Estimation based on average annual consumption of a typical family
