Umberto Magrini

Head of Engineering & Construction

Born in Genoa, Italy, in 1965, he graduated in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Genoa and received a Master of Business Administration from Jacobs University in Bremen.

He has 25 years of experience in various roles within industrial companies engaged in creating innovative projects and plants. In the last 20 years, he has worked in the field of Renewable Energy 

He began his professional career in 1992. He has had positions such as Project Engineer, Project Manager and Head of Sales with important industrial companies in Italy and abroad. 

He joined the Enel Group in 2001, covering various roles in the Markets Division. In 2007, he took on the role of Head of Engineering and New Technology at Enel.si.

In 2008, he became the Head of the Design and Construction unit for solar plants in Enel’s Renewable Energy Division. He was then named Head of Enel.si, in generation distributed from renewable sources and energy efficiency.

In 2010, he became Head of Engineering in Renewables at Enel Green Power, responsible for the design of wind, photovoltaic, hydroelectric, geothermal and biomass plants. 

Since December 2014, he has been the Head of Engineering & Construction for Enel Green Power, where he manages an important growth plan for renewable plants within the Group through planning, design to cost, construction and the commissioning of plants around the world.
