Marco Salemme, married with a daughter, graduated in Economics and Business Administration at the Rome University “La Sapienza” and completed an Executive Programme at INSEAD.
He began his career at Procter & Gamble, the US global leader of the consumer goods sector, where he spent ten years in roles of growing responsibility within Administration, Finance and Control in Italy, Germany and UK.
He joined Enel in 1998, one year before the start of the liberalization process of the Italian electricity sector and the Company IPO.
He covered several roles at Divisional and Group level, among which Head of Group Strategic Planning (2005-2009), Head of Administration and Control of e-distribuzione (2009-2012) and Head of Planning and Control of the International Division (2012-2014).
In June 2016 he became the Head of Administration, Finance and Control for the Europe and North Africa Region and was appointed Chief Financial Officer of Enel Green Power in May 2017.
Marco speaks Italian, English and Spanish and loves dogs, opera and writing.
