Marco Proietti

Procurement

Marco Proietti is Head of Procurement for Enel Green Power and Thermal Generation, the Enel business line that deals with power generation from conventional and renewable sources.

He joined Enel in 2001 and, after a brief stint as a consultant, held various roles in the management team of the Auditing Department, eventually becoming Head of Auditing for the Engineering and Research Division and then for the International Division, where he also served as a board member of Enel's Russian subsidiary OGK5. From 2015 to 2017, he was Head of the Operational Performance Optimization Unit of the Thermal and Hydro Generation fleet where, among other things, he introduced a series of initiatives related to digitalization and predictive maintenance through real-time monitoring of equipment performance indicators.

He joined Procurement at the end of 2017, and led the transformation of its processes and applications, after having also served as Head of the Digital Hub. In 2020, he became Head of Procurement for the Global Digital Solutions Division (now ICT) and then, from the end of 2021, he took on the role of Head of Procurement for the Enel X Global Retail and Global Customer Operations Division.

He graduated in Economics from LUISS Guido Carli University in Rome. After graduation, he participated in management training courses at Bocconi University in Milan and IESE Business School in Barcelona.

Marco is married and has one daughter. An avid sportsman (soccer, running, golf) and do-it-yourself enthusiast, he enjoys movies based on true stories, especially stories from the sports world.
