Margherita Mezzacapo is the Head of Audit for Enel Green Power and Thermal Generation, Enel’s business line for energy generation from conventional and renewable sources.
Through her role at Enel Group, she contributed in preventing main risks that could impact on operational performance and fostering an approach oriented towards increasing awareness of threats and their mitigation. She was committed in data protection measures implementation, supported the definition of new operating and organizational models during the ongoing transformation of Enel in a digital company. She contributed in audit process digitalization and in implementing agile adoption in Audit.
In 2009 Margherita joined Enel as a Senior Auditor, taking shortly afterwards the responsibility of IT Audit on ICFR Processes. From 2014 to January 2020 she was head of Audit Global Digital Solutions.
She started her professional career in 2004 at PricewaterhouseCoopers in Milan; in 2007 she moved to Rome to join Protiviti, strengthening her experience in audit, digital technology risk and more broadly in business process improvement.
Born in Italy in the city of Caserta in 1980, Margherita graduated in Managerial Engineering at the University Federico II of Naples in 2004.
Margherita is also a mother of 3 children and a wife; she enjoys spending time with her family and she likes reading, travelling and cooking.
