Roberto Balzerani, part of GICT since 2016, is responsible for developing information systems in Global Renewables, Global Thermal Generation and Global Trading.
He joined the Enel Group in 1993, at the Montalto di Castro thermoelectric plant and moved to the Headquarters of Enel Production in 1996, where he dealt with the development of IT systems to support the processes of Energy Management and O&M.
In 2001, he moved to the Enel Trade Risk Management unit. In 2007, he was named Head of the Commodity Risk Management unit of Enel Holding. Before taking on his current role, he was the Head of the Global Middle Office & Risk Management unit in Global Trading.
He graduated in Electronic Engineering from the University of Rome “La Sapienza” in 1989, and in 1991 he received a Master’s in Telecommunications at the New York University Tandon School of Engineering.
